Tenugui & Furoshiki Edition

We could go on forever, delving into the beauty and sometimes inscrutable features of textiles. As we focus on one of our favourite textile regions, Japan, allow us to take you on an appreciation course of the Tenugui and Furoshiki. Synonym to the Japanese culture, these wrap cloths have been used since ancient times. For years, we've produced various designs for the Fictive Fingers range, once collaborating with Gujo-based screen printing studio Takara Gallery and now you can create your own.

Learn the basics of screen printing using prints we've designed exclusively for Fabric Printing Basics or have us guide you on how to translate your own ideas. Join us for the Tenugui session as we print this once expensive commodity. At the end of the session, you'll receive a wooden fabric hanger to display at home loud and proud. At the Furoshiki session, we'll be printing on a common size cloth that can be used for wrapping gifts or even jazz up your tissue box in the office. Pick up neat tying techniques and see how different Furoshiki sizes can be utilised.
