Our Care Guide

Since all of our products are handprinted using water-based, non toxic inks, most people wonder if they can ever be washed or even be in contact with water. We would prefer that our products are kept in its original state and wear out beautifully but there may be a time when a wash is much needed. We put a lot of care during the production process so same thing goes when you attempt to clean minor blemishes. Don't worry, it's easy peasy.

SPOT CLEAN FOR MINOR STAINS

Wet a towel with water and mild detergent then rub over the spot gently. Immediate attention is recommended.

HANDWASH FOR EXTRA LOVE

Always wash similar colour together. Dilute mild detergent in cold water. Dip in your tote/kimono and rub lightly. Rinse with cold water and squeeze it gently to remove the excess water. Do not leave it to soak. The best way to dry is to let it air dry. Do not put it in the dryer as it may cause shrinking to occur. Linen will get softer after each wash and every use.

IRONING HAND PRINTED FABRICS

To press it, grab a piece of cloth (e.g a tea towel) and lay it over before ironing. With linen products, iron it when still damp to remove the wrinkles effectively. Alternatively, iron on the reverse side of the printed fabric. Set the iron at the temperature suitable for cotton or linen that is around 180 - 220 °C / 400 - 440 °F.

DARKER FABRICS

Fabric colour may transfer to other lighter fabrics due to natural rubbing during carry or wear. Advisable to wear with darker clothing especially for the first few usage.
